Quantum Fire Technology recently completed the design and installation of an AMSA certified Firepro Aerosol system on the Gotswold M6 Mobile Harbour Crane.
The client also required a camera system for monitoring of the cable wind and engine area. We chose a robust, wireless version that enables the operator to monitor the machine in real time.
A recent requirement by a client for an effective, compact AS5062 certified Foam system. The client opted for the installation of the Firetec CLS system. This system provided a full 90 second discharge duration with excellent coverage and fire fighting ability.
The 36 litre Rotarex Firetec system required very little fabrication, minimised machine stress due to weight & used very little real estate.
Being a rental machine, the low total cost of ownership and ease of servicing made the Rotarex system a natural choice. The system specification was designed to ensure compliance to any site.
A client recently approached Quantum with a challenge of fitting a AS5062 compliant fire suppression system compliant for BHP Olympic Dam. The challenge was intensified due to the lack of ability to transfer electrical current through the slip ring in order to have the audible and visual alarm feature. The manual activation point in the cab was also in doubt.
Quantum Fire Technology sourced a wireless 2 way transceiver top relay messages to and from the pressure switches. The manual activation point was designed with a solenoid near the engine compartment & activation point in the cab.
Quantum designed & fabricated all bracketry for the cylinder mount & activation points. The end result was a very happy client.
